So let me understand……….
The Administration and Congressional Democrats have been complaining how bad Sequester is and how there is no money to cut. They say the $85 Billion will lead to disaster. So far, even though it has been designed to hurt in places where it is highly visible and can get the most sympathy, we have survived without any major disruptions. Many people, including me, have come up with places we should cut the money being spent as it is a total waste of funds or accomplishes little.

So let me understand……….
The Military Leadership and Administration has decided that those soldiers that survived the Ft Hood attack cannot receive the Purple Heart. This is a medal awarded to soldiers wounded in a hostile environment or a terrorist attack. Labeling it a terrorist attack also opens the families up for additional help financially. They are denying it for two reasons.

So let me understand…….
We are cutting back on spending and our government says there is no way to cut spending without hurting the common person. Yet CBS news affiliate in Washing DC has released interesting information on what our Ex-Presidents make on the taxpayers dime. The ex- Presidents Act was put together to assist former presidents in their expenses. It provides for a $200,000 annual pension, $96,000 for an office staff, staff benefits and $60,000 annually for travel expenses. In addition, Secret Service coverage for the Ex- Presidents their wives and children are not covered in this report as they come out of a separate budget. This law covers costs of office rent, office expenses such as telephones, supplies, cleaning and stamps etc.

So let me understand……… We have heard that everyone should have “shared sacrifice” as we all handle these budget cuts from Sequester. Let us see how the White house is doing with shared sacrifice. President Obama just announced he plans to increase his oversea trips this year. His plane costs for his travel team (Secret Service, Cabinet Members, and Aides) runs over $182,000 per hour. We are laying off Air traffic controllers, some teachers on Indian reservations and some on military bases, and stopping White House Tours. Yet yesterday in the Middle East, the President announced his plan to send an additional $200 million in aid to the nation of Jordan.

The White House and Democratic party support closing White House tours and laying off 126 air traffic controllers from small private airports. Fact is there are 312,000 federal workers and federal retirees who owe back taxes to the tune of $3.4+ Billion. In fact, part of the billions o f dollars owed are by White House staff employees that owe back taxes to the tune of $833,970.
