A recent case in Virgina Beach indicates the Unions in our nation are getting too powerful. In addition, it indicates we need to elect Leaders not afraid to stand up for what is right.
A Police Detective in Virginia Beach was recently sentenced to two years in prison for his role in a marriage fraud ring. He obstructed a Federal investigation and threatened a Navy sailor to remain in his fake marriage.
While in prison, he will be drawing his $2300. / month pension for falling on a wet floor and breaking his shoulder 3 years prior. He has lost his job but the pension law in Virginia allows him to draw his pension even though a convicted felon.
Local officials are trying to find a lawmaker to sponsor a bill to change the pension system and not allow convicted felons to collect their pensions, especially when the conviction was job related.
Believe it or not, the Lawmakers are hesitant to do so for failure to offend the Pubic Employee Unions. One has said he would consider it because the winds seen to be shifting against Public Employee Unions. People should vote out any lawmaker who refuses to do their job and caves in on union pressure.
November is coming………
